'The Bernie Mac Show' cast shares photos from reunion for the first time in 10 years

Dee Dee Davis, Camille Winbush, Kellita Smith, and Jeremy Suarez, who were members of the cast of The Bernie Mac Show, got together in Los Angeles.

All four of them used their respective Instagram accounts to share that remarkable moment. In the images, Suarez was shown wearing blue jeans and a dark blue shirt, Davis put on blue jeans and a yellow blouse, Winbush opted for a mid-length red dress, and Smith put on a long-sleeved fuchsia gown.

In the captions, the celebrities pointed out how grateful and happy they were for getting together one more time.

Even though all the photos were great, Davis’ caption was the most striking aspect of them. She said that ten years passed since they were together for the last time.

Davis admitted that they had a wonderful time and realized that being able to reconnect ‘like nothing changed’ was a blessing.

She finished by saying that she loved the rest of the crew. As Madame Noire reported, The Bernie Mac Show ran for five successful seasons until 2006.

From the show, the only person who has died is Bernie Mac, who passed away on August 9, 2008, due to complications from pneumonia.

The series was somehow based on Mac’s stand-up comedy shows in real life. The actor was married and had one daughter while the character was married with no children.

In the pilot, the premise was revealed: Mac’s character took in his sister’s children after she started going to rehab.

One of the most exciting aspects of it was that Mac took that premise from one of his routines in The Original Kings of Comedy.

It was a stand-up comedy film that featured shows of Steve Harvey, D.L. Hughley, Cedric the Entertainer, and Mac.

Another striking characteristic of The Bernie Mac Show was that Mac would invite other celebrities to appear on the show as themselves, including Serena Williams, Halle Berry, Chris Rock, Ice Cube, and so on.

After 104 episodes, Fox announced the cancellation of the series. Decreasing ratings (only 3.6 million in the last season) might have been the cause.
