Alexcia Anderson, a proud mother and CNA working to become a nurse, was tragically killed in a drive-by shooting.
Alexcia Anderson, 25, was a happy mother, CNA, and nursing student with her entire life ahead of her. She was cruelly slain in a drive-by shooting in January, and now three months later, no arrests have been made in the case.
Her relatives regarded her as lively, witty, and kind. “She had a future, a very bright future, and she was extremely thrilled about being a mom,” Rekita Jones, her mother, said.

The parents of a murder victim have created a foundation to seek justice for their daughter’s death. As time goes by, her parents worry their daughter will be forgotten.
“My heart is heavy with the dread of my baby being forgotten,” Jones added. Her family said they had just returned home after celebrating the Jaguars’ playoff triumph.
According to investigators, someone opened Fire on her car, critically injuring another woman in the passenger seat. They were shot on I-95N at the Forest Street exit, and the automobile was “riddled with gunshot holes,” according to the report.

Breaking News Jax forwarded a list of questions about the case to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. A spokesman informed us they couldn’t respond since the inquiry continues.
Jones stated that she contacts investigators roughly twice a week and just provided them with a photo of Alexcia and her daughter Dalilah.
“I asked, ‘Please don’t forget Alexcia Anderson,’ which is difficult for a parent to do because it seems like you’re battling for answers,” she explained.
As the family grieves, they are also keeping her memory alive. They established the “In Her Innocence The Alexcia Anderson Foundation” to raise awareness about gun violence and assist victims’ families.
“We want honest answers as to why since we’re not aware of her having problems with anyone,” Jones added. Jones and Alexcia’s Father, Paul Anderson, are pleading for answers, claiming that she has no enemies and has never been in trouble.
“We want to be able to help with funeral expenditures, repast expenses, or simply be a support,” Jones added. “Help bring supplies into these areas for these children because they need it.”
One of the most challenging things for family members is knowing Alexcia’s daughter will grow up without her mother.
“She was my best friend, and I adore my kid; it stole a major piece of my heart, and I demand justice,” Anderson added.
JSO encourages anybody with information to contact them at 630-0500, [email protected], or Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
The Foundation has already generated over $10,000 through a GoFundMe Campaign and expects to hold other fundraising events. The funds received will be used to assist the relatives of murder victims and to give incentives for information leading to arrests in unresolved cases.
Brooke’s parents are adamant about seeking justice for their daughter and preventing other families from going through the same ordeal. They believe that their Foundation will make a difference in the lives of individuals impacted by unsolved killings and support families still waiting for answers.
